My Rock in the Ice Storm

We Are That Family is having a SWAK Valentine's Carnival.

My husband was my Rock during our recent ice storm. When we realized we weren't getting electricity back the first (of 14) day, he loaded up me and the kids and ALL of our stuff and took us to my mom's. He then returned to our house tomake sure our water lines, cats and dogs were okay. Jeff stayed 9 nights away from his family in our cold house (some withou water and only a duck blind heater). He made sure we had wood to burn at mom's so we stayed warm.

We didn't see or talk to Jeff for over a day - everyone's electricty was out, and most cell phones and land lines. The third day of the storm he traveled 25 miles through downed power lines and fallen trees to make sure we were okay. That first hug and kiss were wonderful!

We got power back 3 days ago. My Rock continues to make sure our lives return to "normal". Even if the wind knocked shingles off the roof yesterday.

Jeff, I am glad God had a plan for us. Happy Valentine's Day!

What a hubby! You are so blessed. My hubby shows his love to us through sacrificing too.
